Site Review: Bed and Breakfast at Asheville Farm

The home and property at this Asheville farmstay bed and breakfast are beautiful!

So, we wanted to emphasize this by showing a lot of photos at the top of the home page. The problem is, lots of large photos can result in awfully slow page loading speed.

Fortunately, a combination of incorporating the <picture> tag with srcset elements and using Google's next-gen image format conversion and compression tool, squoosh.com, worked well

The page gets a very good performance score from Google's PageSpeed Insights (99/100 on desktop and 86/100 on mobile). GTmetrix grades the page at 92%.
